The Gate Had Open!

Last Thursday midnight, it would be a quiet night and everyone would stay in bed especially for the Chinese. Normally the parents would not allow their children to back home late as they scared their children would accidentally bump into ‘them’ which is hard to handle once you bump into ‘them’. But for me, I’m still hanging outside with my buddies. Although is that, all of us still went home once the clock struck 12.00 a.m. Till the last, we think that we should went back home early where me and my buddies had to work on the next day.

For the Chinese tradition, all of the Chinese would pray for the dead leavers no matter it is your kin or friends. It should say would pray for all the dead leavers and this is the day when they coming back. In other words, is their ‘big’ day which means is their New Year day! All the Chinese would prepare all the food and fruits at a table especially for ‘them’. And of course, didn’t miss out all the joss stick, candle, and incense paper. All these is a must for the pray. The pray is either individual or joint group. For the individual normally would not have a monk standing in front the table (that I mention earlier) but it does have for the joint group praying. The monk would know what to do their job while standing in front of the table. Most of the people would pray with the monk by standing behind him and waiting him to give orders either standing or squatting and also turn around the praying food and fruits. After standing, squatting and turning around, it is the time for the burning session. Burning what? Of course the joss stick and also the incense paper. My mum told me that after the burning, ‘they’ would receive the money aka incense paper. Whether it is so or not, no one could really give an accurate answer because are not the dead leaver so how we know, right? ‘They’ didn’t come to us and tell us whether ‘they’ receive it or not right? Haha. If they really come back to you, I think is time for you to find a ‘shi fu’ (master) to get rid of them. They are not the one who you can mess up with, you see. Hehe. Just making some jokes to make you all relax.
Here are some pictures how the Chinese people.
